How much skunk essence would you add to predator bait without over powering the bait?

Go very slow with the essence. Add a drop or so mix well and let it set for a couple of days then check it again. You can always add more but its hard to remove . Good luck. Bill

Skunk essence is one of the most volatile ingredients you will use in lure or bait making. It may smell like you have over-dosed it when you begin but over time it weakens and combines with other ingredients that weaken and mellow it. If you have time do your bait making for next season in late winter or early Spring, add your skunk essence, and allow it to age through the heat of summer. Then in late September open your bait and check to see if the skunk is still at the desired level you wanted, if not add a little more. Be careful on the second dosing a batch of a lure or bait as it will not weaken as much the second time.

You won't sell it to me Willie.

I have tried beaver meat in many different mixes, and possum LOVE them ALL.

There isn't a bait or lure made that won't attract possums. Just have to increase pan tension to avoid them, or make sets they can't get to.
